UAS Coordinator and FAA Office of Communications Kevin Morris will be the featured speaker for the Central Colorado UAS club Spring Roundup on April 21.

Morris is a subject matter expert on Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) operations. Amongst his many responsibilities, Morris coordinates UAS communications for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Previously, he worked in the FAA’s Flight Standards Service, developing regulations, policies, and programs for UAS. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, from St. Cloud State University, an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, Remote Pilot Certificate, and is a Certified Flight Instructor.

Morris is a Minnesota native who says he is passionate about embracing new technology and empowering the drone community to operate safely. He is known online as the “FAA Drone Guy.”
