Lake Area Technical College is hosting a free Drone Camp for high school students in grades 9-12 on Friday, December 3 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on the campus of Lake Area Tech.

Attendees of the Drone Camp will explore the areas of virtual and live drone operation and racing, coding, cobot technology, 3D printing, careers in drone technology and Esports.  Upon completion of the camp, students will earn their Recreational UAS Safety certificate. Camp attendees will also be will be eligible to win a state-of-the drone system. 

Drone Technology is changing and growing rapidly and careers in drones are developing at a high rate of speed.  Lake Area Tech College has been on the cutting edge of imbedding drone usage in many existing majors and will be launching an Unmanned Aerial Systems Pilot Option spring of 2022.

To register for the camp, go to www.lakeareatech.edu.  No experience in drone usage or other related areas is necessary to attend the camp.
