Ministry of Defence, Government of India in partnership with FICCI is organizing the Webinar on Drones and Counter Drones on 31 August 2021. This programme will witness the participation of policy makers, defence forces, law enforcement agencies, industry, and other stakeholders.

Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have proven to be among the most promising technologies emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The advantages offered by use of drones in national security is innumerable. It has the potential to fill the void in the current border surveillance in India by enhancing the coverage along remote sections of the border for counter-terrorism operations. At the same time, counter-drone systems are also being developed to address the threats posed by UAVs and therefore the need for effective counter-drone technologies which could detect, identify, track, and neutralize a rogue UAV is growing for the Indian defence forces, law enforcement agencies and private enterprises.
